Saturday 12th February saw the marriage of some of life’s key essential elements - an evening of divine wines, delicious French peasant fare by Xavier & Janette Poupel of Terroir & Table, and great friends, set in the wine production area of the Rickety Gate winery; a huge success judging by the ongoing feedback received by all who attended.
Xavier’s ‘theatre of food’, showcasing his mobile wood-fired oven delivered the best of French regional rustic cuisine. This coupled with his interactive personality & knowledgeable expertise, plus his passion for the “Slow Food” philosophy made the atmosphere of the evening positively infectious.
Janette’s flare for set-up, décor and attention to detail left no stone unturned , along with her efficient yet discrete service ensured the evening went without a hitch.
Rickety Gate Estate is looking forward to many more collaborations with Terroir & Table in show casing and supporting the Great Southern’s regional produce.
