Unique Mobile Catering Service

 ‘rustic, traditional, convivial’

 

The practice of live cooking – interaction with the chef; the sharing of knowledge; expertise and stories; simple, rustic, hearty fare, elegantly presented and served direct from our wood-fired oven to a long table where guests help themselves – is a more convivial and relaxed approach to the sharing of meal and leisure time.

Dishes are prepared using a variety of techniques: grilled, baked, roasted or slow cooked in our mobile wood-fired oven at your venue; and can be presented either on a Provençal-style buffet or in the centre of a long table (table width permitting).

Quality seasonal produce first, with as little manipulation as possible: the idea is to enhance, not mask, natural flavours.’

 

The servings offered in our Provincial-style menus and Buffet Campagnards may be perceived as smaller in quantity than conventional eating practice dictates, but as we offer more variety and a greater number of dishes individual meal portions are in fact the same. Our philosophy of using only quality produce, prepared with skill and care to enhance natural flavours, enables you to experience the 'real taste' of the produce, and fosters an understanding and appreciation of the value of food, the producers of it, and those who prepare it for your pleasure.

In keeping with our notions of sharing and sustainability we encourage guests to:

Our concept enables us to focus on what we do best – live cooking and delicious provincial-style cuisine of many different traditions – and promotes a division of labour which enables us to offer competitive rates for the delivery of a unique culinary experience.

Whilst the concept we offer includes service and setup of buffet or service to the long table (and cleaning of all our equipment post-event), it does not include table service or clearing of tables. If you prefer to have experienced discreet service staff take care of everything, leaving you to enjoy your event and attend to your guests; or if you require hire equipment, we can recommend one of our partners.


Customised menus and rates for functions and events are available on request and based on a tiered scale dependent on the number of guests:

~ 35    ~ 35 - 50    ~ 50 - 75    ~ 75 -100+

 

Information with regards guest numbers not specified above and all other services is available on request.

Our menu includes three courses: entrée, main and dessert. Each course consists of an array of traditional dishes with the entrée having the most variety (6-9 dependent on your budget). The main course consists of two different dishes selected from lamb, beef, chicken or fish; and the meal concludes with 2–3 different desserts.
Please note:

  • Special items such as seafood and shellfish can be added at your request and will attract an additional supplement.
  • Dependent on the distance of your venue from our home base (the Denmark, Albany, Mt Barker triangle), an additional supplement for travel may apply

Our unique mobile catering service is perfect for winery and barrel hall functions, for private, corporate and public events, for gatherings in your home, garden, farm house or field, for weddings, village street parties, markets and festivals or for any gathering of family and friends.

Be it Brunch, Lunch or Dinner, our unique concept introduces the pleasure of traditional provincial-style cuisine and long table dining to West Australia’s South West.
